2011
2011- The PFFL went back to 10 teams in 2010, losing Big Marty and Mike. The league also shifted back to 2 divisions and 4 playoff teams. This year, Tony and Dennis were the teams to beat. Dennis had a league best record of 12-2 while Tony boasted a very strong 11-3 record. These two teams were 1-1 in their head to head match-ups. But when the playoffs came, Tony was not able to get past Shawn in the first round, while Dennis squeaked by Anthony. Setting up a rematch of the 2010 Championship. However, this time Dennis would not roll over and die. Dennis ran way with a 120-93 victory, including 42 points from MVP Aaron Rodgers! Dennis would be awarded his 4th PFFL Championship.
2010
2010- This season will forever be remembered as the year that Shawn trade raped Papa, Shawn made an early deal for Michael Vick and never looked back. Shawn would go on to have one of the best seasons in PFFL history. With a record of 12-1, Shawn was almost untouchable. And to top it off, he was able to defeat PFFL powerhouse, Dennis in the title game.
2009
2009- The PFFL expanded to 12 teams. When Big Marty returned to the league and was joined by Joe Corbin. While a lot had changed, a lot stayed the same. The Gamblers (Dennis) went on to win their third Championship (Most all time). This year was the first time that 5 teams would make the playoffs. The 3 division winners (Dennis, PJ, and Lil Marty) would all receive a first round bye. Tony and Andre faced off in the first ever PFFL Wild Card Weekend! Andre was able to get a win, but then lost to Dennis in the next round. Lil Marty was able to take care of PJ, and move on to face Dennis in the Championship. This was the third time that these two storied franchises had faced off for the title. With Dennis' win, he became the first team to win 3 PFFL Championships.
2008
2008- Was the year of the Buck! The Bucks stormed out to a 8-0 record and never looked back. The finished the regular season with a 10-4 record and won their first ever PFFL Championship. This year also marks the first time in history that the Bay Sharks and Gamblers missed the playoffs. CDsTDs won the NL championship beating the Machine on a fumble recovery by the JETS on a play that should have never been run. Had the Machine won they NL, they would have gone on to win the whole thing...but in the end, the BUCKS came through when they needed to, and bring home thier 1st PFFL Championship. And for a second year in a row, the team with the most points (Gamblers) failed to make the playoffs!
2007
2007- Saw Big Marty take a leave and Jonathan took over the a team that went 5-8-1. However not much else changed, Anthony, Dennis, and Marty all made the playoffs, but this year they were joined by a new face, PJ made a late season run to hold of Papa and make the post season. Once in the post season PJ and Marty faced off for the title, and Lil Marty took home his second PFFL title, joining Dennis as the only teams to have 2 PFFL Champion Pennants. In other news Tony become the first team in PFFL history to lead the league in total points and NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!
2006
2006- A league that had been up and down so many times decided that a change needed to take place. Because of the dominance of "The Big Four" the league decided to mix up the talent and expand the league to 10 teams. 2006 marked the first year for Shawn and Mike. The Commissioner all decided to split up the PFFL into 2 divisions, the American League- Anthony, Papa, Big Marty, Mike and PJ and the National League- Dennis, Lil Marty, Tony, Andre and Shawn. The mix up worked, this year Papa and Andre were able to make the playoffs for the first time, but both we beaten by members of the former "Big Four." Anthony and Dennis faced off in the PFFL Championship and Dennis took home his second PFFL Title!
2005
2005- We lost Ben to the California Penal League, but added Andre to take his place. 2005 marked the final year of "The Big Four" this would be the last time that Dennis, Anthony, Big Marty and Lil' Marty would make the 4 playoff spots. The Big Four, made the playoff every year from 2002-2005. And Big Marty was able to take home the gold. 4 years, 4 playoff teams, 4 different Champions!
2004
2004- Marked the first time in league history that all 8 teams would come back from the previous season. Much to the desire of the Commissioner the PFFL Plaque was unveiled at the draft in 2004. The plaque would show the past PFFL Champions and left spaces for future champions. This year it was Lil' Marty who took home the PFFL Championship.
2003
2003- Marked yet another year with team turnover. This year saw Alex leave the league and PJ join us. In 2003 Lil' Marty put up a record of 13-1 which is a record still to this day, but was knocked off in PFFL Championship, by long time rival Dennis. This year also gave us another record 1-13, put up by Tony, but his lone win came against the 13-1 Lil' Marty
2002
2002- The PFFL lost one team, but added another, this team made history by selecting a kicker (O. Mare) in the 4th round, making him the earliest team to select a kicker in PFFL history, a record that still stands today. Anthony won the PFFL Championship this year.
2001
2001- The season began with the league expanding to 8 teams, Dennis, Anthony, Big Marty, Lil Marty, Tony, Papa, John and Alex. The records from the 2001 season have not yet been uncovered from the great flood, but the search continues. However we do know that Tony, behind the St. Louis Rams won the title.
The early years...
The PFFL began play officially in 2001. The first PFFL games were played in 1998, it was a small three team league, consisting of "The Storm" owned by Dennis (4-4), "The Headbangers " owned by Anthony (5-3) and "The Stingers" owned by Lil' Marty (3-5). The season was stoped after 13 weeks (only 8 games each) and no champion was crowned. These wins and losses are not included in the overall wins and losses.
