2012 saw a lot of change in the PFFL, but one thing stayed the same...Dennis won!
The PFFL added 2 new this year. Tony D and Primey. Both of whom did not fit the mold of first year teams. The previous teams in their first year had records of: PJ 3-11, Andre 4-10, Shawn 7-7, Mike 4-9, Jonathan 3-10, Joe 2-11, John 4-9. But this years new teams came firing out of the gate. Tony D. started the season 3-1 and finished the year 7-6, and won 2 playoff games before losing in the title game. Primey on the other hand up and down most of the year, but was able to hold on to win his division and earn a first round bye in the playoffs. Primey also won the 3rd place game.
This year, the PFFL had a couple of rule changes. First of all, the loss of points for INTs and Fumbles. There were only a few games where the loss of points were a factor, but in a season that was so close, a few games made a big difference.
The other change was the size of rosters. The change in roster size made the waiver wire so important this year.
25, 11, 28, 8, 16, 15, 15, 13, 8, 26, 32, 16 - (17.75 per team) average number of transactions in 2012
22, 17, 3, 19, 14, 2, 11, 8, 11, 25 - (13.2 per team) average number of transactions in 2011
26, 13, 9, 5, 17, 4, 4, 22, 6, 4, 22, 4 - (11.33 per team) average number if transactions in 2010
By having a smaller roster size, teams were forced to make changes more often, thus creating a more competitive league.
2012 was the closest season we have ever had. Going into week 13 (the final week of our regular season, every team was mathematically still alive.

PJ had the best team all season, but late season QB controversy left PJ in a world of hurd. Not to mention that over half his team scored less than 4 points. PJ put up his lowest point total of the season. On the other side of the ball, Tony D had 3 players score over 20 points. Tony D was on his way to his first ever title game
Game 2: #2 Primey falls to #3 Dennis (124-77)
Dennis had a very balanced attack leading him to his second highest point total of the season. While Primey did not come to play, scoring only 77 points. Dennis was on his way to his 4th straight title game. And 8th overall.

This was one of the most exciting fantasy games of the year. Dennis and Tony were separated by less than 10 points for almost the entire day. But in the end... Dennis was able to hang on and win his 5th PFFL Title. Dennis is the first ever to win Back-to-Back championships!
